Prague Useful Contacts: Visitor & Travel Help

Choose the organisation by the problem you need to solve. A visitor centre can help with a route or attraction, but an airline handles a baggage claim and your own embassy handles a lost passport. Use official contact pages for live opening times and changing service arrangements. This page separates those tasks so you do not spend time calling the wrong office.
| Choice | What it means for your trip |
|---|---|
| Visitor information | Prague City Tourism: +420 221 714 714, tourinfo@prague.eu. Use for visitor questions; confirm current service hours on the official site. |
| Public transport | PID and DPP for route changes, fares, accessibility and the relevant lost-property process. Keep the line, direction, stop and approximate travel time. |
| Airport information | Prague airport’s official contact and flight-information pages. For a baggage claim, identify the operating airline and handling agent. |
| Emergency help | 112; ambulance 155, police 158, fire 150. Use Health & Safety for the emergency context. |
| Passport or consular problem | Your nationality’s embassy or consular service in Czechia. Verify the emergency channel through your own foreign ministry. |
Prague Visitor Information
The city’s official information service can clarify opening arrangements, local orientation and visitor services. Use Prague City Tourism’s official information page to choose a staffed centre. The airport and city-centre locations do not necessarily have identical hours. Ask a focused question: the date, attraction and mobility or language requirement make an answer more useful than a general request to plan an entire trip.

Lost Property on Public Transport
Write down the line number, direction, boarding/alighting stops and the closest possible time. Keep a ticket or app journey record. Contact the operator’s current lost-property channel via DPP or PID; the right process can depend on the vehicle operator. Do not publish a passport number or card details in a public lost-item message. If a payment card is lost, contact your issuer promptly rather than waiting for the item search.
Flight, Airport and Baggage Problems
For a changed or cancelled flight, use the airline’s actual booking and operating-carrier information. For checked baggage, keep the baggage tag and ask the airline or handling agent about the claim before leaving the relevant area. For transfer advice, read the Prague airport guide and the airport’s official site. An airport information desk cannot promise a refund on behalf of an airline or accommodation provider.

Consular Help for Foreign Visitors
For a missing travel document or serious consular issue, contact the embassy or consulate representing your nationality in Czechia. The previous list of Czech embassies around the world did not serve that visitor need. Find the current office through your government’s official foreign-ministry site and check what is handled by appointment or by an emergency line. Do not send sensitive documents to an address supplied only by an unsolicited message.
Medical Help and Insurance
For an emergency, use the verified emergency numbers. For non-emergency care, your insurer can identify facilities, authorisation requirements and payment procedures. The city’s current medical and useful contacts directory is more useful than an old opening-hours table. Keep your policy number, travel dates and a brief description ready, while avoiding unnecessary personal detail in an ordinary visitor enquiry.
