Thailand Hotels; Where to Stay
The hotels in Thailand offer visitors a chance to be pamper with luxurious rooms and exceptional food at what most international travelers would consider reasonable prices. There’s a room for just about any price, but here are our favorite places to stay:
The Shangri-La Hotel Bangkok is located on the banks of the Chao Phraya River and offers guests spacious rooms with balconies. It’s almost its own village with a spa, shops, two pools and a convenient location.
The Dune is a well priced hotel in Hua Hin. It’s one of the hippest hotels in Thailand. It has four rooms and one suite, and is considered a little compound on the beach with a rooftop pool, restaurant, and bar. The furnishings are modern and the iPod docks and LCD TVs are great additions. The Sala Phuket Resort and Spa in Phuket is a Thai beach resort that’s worth the expensive room price. The Sala Phuket is a contemporary retreat with canopied daybeds on the beach, a five room spa and workout center, and a fantastic poolside restaurant. The Conrad Bangkok is another contemporary classic that’s perfect for business meetings, as well as for romantic interludes. There’s a spa, tennis courts, a rooftop track, and a great nightclub that rocks. If money is no object, try the Six Senses Hideaway Yaonoi, which is located on the island of Yao Noi near Phuket Island. There are fifty-four private villas with private sun decks and thatched roofs, and each villa has every modern amenity imaginable. It is one of the most secluded and peaceful hotels in Thailand.
