The weather in the Ukraine can be unpredictable regardless of the season. In spring and autumn temperatures are comfortable, but it can rain a lot. The daytime highs in early spring stay around 50 to 55 degrees, but it can hit 60 degrees and higher in May, but at night temperatures stay in the 35 to 45 degree range.
It rains a lot in early spring in some parts of the Ukraine, and snow is still possible in the higher elevations. The winter is cold and snowy, but not as cold and snowy as Siberia. The theaters are closed in July and August, but there’s plenty of action in the great outdoors. Autumn is as inviting as spring. The temperature drops to a comfortable level, and there is a lot of outdoor activity. December, January and February are super cold, but the skiers don’t mind. The mountain resorts offer great ski packages.
