Ukraine Money

The local currency is the Hryvnya (UAH), which is divided in 100 Kopecks. The Hryvnia floats against the US dollar, but 5 Hryvnia equal 1 US dollar.

ATMs are increasingly common around Ukraine, in towns as well as cities, and are generally reliable.

Credit Cards

Cheaper hotels and restaurants do not usually accept credit cards. Travellers should be aware there is a high level of credit card fraud.
