South Africa Money
South Africa Money, Currency, South Africa Travel Guide and Tourist Information
South Africa Currency
South Africa's currency is called the rand (R). The rand is divided into coins and paper money. The coins are one, two, five, 10, 20 and 50 cent pieces, as well as the rand coins: R1, R2 and R5. The paper notes begin at R10, and then they continue as R20, R50, R100 and R200 notes. The R200 note has been the victim of forgery lately so some businesses will not accept them. US dollars, Euros or British pounds are accepted in most places.
