Madrid, like all big cities around the world, has it share of crime, but overall it is a safe place to visit as long as caution and awareness are practiced during the stay. The taxi drivers, as well as the residents bend over backwards to give Madrid a positive image and they do a very good job. No matter what the reason, Madrid is a great city to visit. Samuel Johnson once said: “You find no man, at all intellectual, who is willing to leave Madrid. No, Sir, when a man is tired of Madrid, he is tired of life; for there is in Madrid all that life can afford.” Sounds like Sam had a big time in Madrid.
