England Safety, UK - England Travel Guide and Useful Information

Is England Safe?

Violent crimes involving tourists are rare, but purse snatchers and pickpockets hang out around tourist sites. There are neighborhoods in some big cities that have higher crime rates so they should be avoided.

The big cities can be dangerous at night. Street gangs can cause problems and unofficial taxi driver’s prey on tourists, plus drunks can be aggressive in certain areas so it’s best to travel in the safe areas and be aware of local security alerts. Even though crime is an issue in some of the larger cities, England is safe for tourist who use common sense.
