The cost of living in Brazil has undergone a dramatic change over the last fifteen years, especially in the larger cities. Brazil is a country with an emerging middle class and the prices have been keeping pace with the economic changes that are taking place. Even though prices have increased in recent years, Brazil’s cost of living is low when it’s compared to the UK and the US. The Brazilian currency is called the Real and it has become stronger in the world currency market which has increased the cost of Hotel rooms, restaurants and transportation but there are bargains in Brazil if you look for them, especially in the small towns and rural areas.
