Brazil’s Major Attractions

Brazil is filled with diversity. The different cultures and the blended bloodlines make the country a living history lesson. Almost everyone wants to visit the Amazon or the world famous Iguacu falls.

The most popular attractions in Brazil are found in the big cities, but the small towns and villages are important as well. Rio is usually first on everyone’s list of places to see and Brasilia, which is the capital, is also a popular destination. In the State of Bahia, the city of Salvador is also a big tourist destination thanks to the beaches, local customs and mixture of ethnic backgrounds.

The south of Brazil especially Porto Alegre and the state of Santa Caterina are filled with German, Spanish and Indian descendants. There are large cattle farms wineries, and mountain towns and villages that still live by the traditional values of their ancestors.
