Great Places to Visit in the US, Tourist Attractions

There are some many great places to visit in the US, but there are a few that are spectacular and are not as well known as the typical tourist attractions. Take a dip in the largest supply of freshwater on the planet when you visit the great lakes of the Mid-West. The lakes have sand dunes, beautiful beaches, and offshore forests and islands. If you want to visit the middle of the country try Carhenge in Western Nebraska. It’s open 24/7, but the best time to visit is during the day. It’s automobile art at its finest and it will forever change your opinion of Stonehenge.

The town of Ketchikan in Alaska is a small town that’s only several miles long, but it’s filled with Alaskan charm and character. Go zip-lining down a 4600 ft. mountain to a pure Alaskan stream and watch the bears feast on salmon. Another one of the great places to visit in the US if you’re on the East Coast is Atlantic City, which is called the Las Vegas of the East Coast. While you’re there stop and see Lucy the Margate Elephant. She’s a sixty-five foot high wooden elephant constructed in 1881. It was leased as a summer home in 1902 and was used as a tavern for a short time until the patrons started destroying her.

If you want to visit Washington DC and tour the White House and the other government buildings try to join the locals and play a game of ultimate Frisbee on America’s front yard in the National Mall.
