When Is The Best Time To Visit
The locals say the best time to visit their country is from mid-June through Mid-September. Temperatures usually stay around 80°F. In July and August the heat takes over, but visitors still come to enjoy the hedonistic beaches and the relaxed atmosphere. We think spring is actually better because it's warm and the beaches are less crowded.
From November through March it can rain a lot in the north, and the south can be rainy too, but hotel and food prices drop during those months so some travelers say winter is the best time to experience Portugal. The truth is any time is the best time to visit thanks to the weather and the festivals that take place at different times of the year. Festival dates change so it's best to check with us before you confirm your travel dates.
