Peru Beaches and Beaches in Lima Peru, Peru Travel Guide and Tourist Information

Peru sits along the coast of the Pacific Ocean, so the beaches up and down the coast are a mixture of white sand playgrounds, as well as fishing, diving, and snorkeling adventures.

The North coast beaches are considered the best beaches because the sun shines all year, and the water is always warm and inviting. Some of the beaches are fine white sand hideaways, and others have gray shores and cresting waves, but no matter what beach you choose in Peru you’ll experience a part of the world that loves the sun, the surf, and the natural beauty of a diverse environment. Here are some of our favorite beaches;

Zorritos is a fishermen’s cove with surging waves and warm white sand. The seafood served in the restaurants on the beach is incredible, and it’s a favorite hangout of the local population. Cancas sits along a horseshoe bay in the north, and most visitors enjoy the breaking waves and the water sports. Punta Sal is perfect for wind and kite surfing, as well as for dolphin and sea lion watching. Surfers love Mancora, which was a forgotten fishermen’s cove until the 1980s. Vichayito has a plethora of crabs hidden in the rocks along the shore, and watching whale and dolphin traffic a few yards off the shoreline is an every day event.
