If you want to party, or just have an after dinner drink, the nightlife in Costa Rica will give you what you want. The resorts have their own mix of nightlife, and every neighborhood has its favorite hangout. The city of San Jose offers you variety, and is considered the best place to party.

There are a number of great spots to drink and dance, but here are some of the best: El Cuartel & La Esquina is one of the best bars in the country. The music is Latin Rock, and both bars are always filled with beauty people. The Jazz Café is another favorite. The music is vintage 80s, and bar is packed seven days a week. Castros has multiple dance floors and is definitely the place to party the night away. Tobogan, in downtown San Jose, always has a lively dance crowd because it’s the hippest salsa club in town. It has a dance floor built for 500 guests, so you can make new friends by getting into the swing of tropical dancing.
