Notre-Dame is the last of the big churches with platforms and one of the first with flying buttress. The construction of the cathedral began into 1163 by Maurice de Sully, and the two towers will be finished only into 1250. Only, the two roses windows of the transept and that of the western frontage preserved part of their old stained glasses.
