Hawaii offers its visitors a plethora of activities to enjoy. Eating at a Luau probably tops the list of things to do. A luau is a celebration of different occasions like a birthday, a graduation, or a successful harvest and in ancient times they celebrated a victorious battle. Luaus are held in parks, at home and at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel on Waikiki Beach, but you can find a luau on every island at various locations. Dinner cruises are also a favorite activity. Cruises are offered on all the islands and they can be the standard cruise for a family or a romantic luxury cruise that’s unforgettable. Cruises are held on catamarans and sailboats, as well as the standard cruise ships, which are made specifically for island entertainment. Swimming with the dolphins is an exciting adventure. There are eight species of dolphins that call Hawaii home and there are several companies on Maui and Oahu that offer tours that include snorkeling and scuba diving in waters filled with dolphins, but you must stay at least 50 yards away from them by law.

Almost everyone who visits Hawaii goes on a snorkeling adventure. Wind surfing, body boarding, surfing, parasailing and kayaking are everyday activities for most tourists, but the islands also offer nature treks, horseback riding excursions, fantastic golf courses and helicopter rides, as well as whale watching tours. There are too many beaches in Hawaii to list here, but Kaupoa beach on Molokai and Polihua beach on Lanai, as well as the Napali Coast on Kauai are off the beaten path and offer an exciting experience to visitors who want to see some of the hidden gems of the islands. The 2000 feet cliffs of Waipio Valley on the big island and the sunrise in Haleakala National Park on Maui will add an extra dimension to your vacation.
