Vast Votivkirche (Votive Church), of Ferstel, was raised in a neo-gothic style inspired of the cathedral of Cologne on demand of Maximilien, the future emperor of Mexico, to give thanks to God to have saved his Francis-Joseph brother when in 1853 a tailor tried to assassinate it.
