The park of Stadtpark was drawn in 1862. Johann Strauss gave concerts there in Kursalon where, nowadays still, we waltz from April to October. Many famous Vienneses are immortalized there, such as Schubert, but the most known sculpture is the Strauss Monument of Edmund Hellmer (1921) (Johann Straussdenkmal) which places the statue of the violonist in front of a crowd of groupies.
